Sport at UWA
Space for every student to play
Sport is an essential part of life at UWA. Students have opportunities to participate across disciplines, develop physical confidence and discover activities they enjoy. Our approach begins with strong foundations: learning skills well, practising regularly and building a lasting relationship with movement and fitness.
The campus supports football, basketball, swimming, badminton, table tennis, athletics, taekwondo and chess. Guided coaching and age-appropriate participation help students progress from first attempts to more demanding training and competition.

Growth on and off the field
Team games teach students to communicate, trust one another and contribute to a shared goal. Individual pursuits build focus and self-discipline. Across both, students learn to handle success with humility and setbacks with resilience.
House events, fixtures and other opportunities to represent the school give students a chance to put these habits into practice. We value participation and steady improvement as much as achievement, so that every student can find a meaningful place in sport.
