Clubs at UWA

Interests explored, skills put to work

Integrated Skills Programme

Learning beyond the timetable

Clubs and the Integrated Skills Programme give students across UWA time to follow interests, develop practical abilities and explore questions that may not fit within a single subject. They build, test, make, discuss and work with others, connecting classroom learning to real situations.

Experiences span creative work, communication, sport, gardening, financial literacy, life skills, science and technology. Opportunities such as Fashion, How Things Work?, baking, applied thinking, AI and future tools, marketing and finance allow students to try unfamiliar pursuits and deepen interests as they progress through school. Activities are designed to suit each stage of learning.

Student-led

Ideas led by students

These experiences invite students to take initiative, solve problems and communicate what they have learned.

  1. A practical project may require planning and teamwork

  2. A discussion may challenge a familiar assumption

  3. A student-led activity may turn an idea into something useful for the school community.

Clubs also create friendships across shared interests and give students room to discover strengths that are less visible in a conventional lesson. The programme balances academic learning with exploration, creativity and responsibility.
